How does it work?
A VoIP service converts your voice into a digital signal (rather than analog via copper phone lines) that can be sent between devices connected to the internet. Voice and video services like Skype, FaceTime, and WhatsApp already use similar technology.
Most cordless digital phones are already compatible with VoIP, and they connect to the internet through your router, or new digital phone socket.
