It depends on the router you have, and/or how old your phone is. For older phones you might need to use an ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) or RJ11 connector to make it work with your router or new phone socket.

If your home phone has an ethernet port (WAN) then it could be plugged into your router or new phone socket.
