A good back-up is a mobile phone with good service coverage so you can still make emergency calls, and people can still contact you if your power goes off.

If you rely on your phone line for any personal alarms or monitoring systems you can request a battery backup power unit for your YouFibre phone and broadband.

It’ll provide up to four hours of power for devices that would usually go off when the mains power supply is interrupted e.g. in a power cut.

How it works

The back-up power unit will take over as soon as the mains power goes off, so there’s no loss of power to the devices or equipment connected to it.
