It’s an initiative brought in by Ofcom to make it easy for people to switch broadband providers.
If you want us to handle switching you from your current provider to us, you’ll be able to select One Touch Switch when you place your YouFibre order online or over the phone.
We’ll need the name of your provider and your account number so we can handle the admin.
How does it work?
We’ll use your provider name and account number to find your broadband account and your provider will send you an email about the switch.
They’ll let you know about any Early Termination Fees if you’re mid-contract, and what to do next. If you’re happy, you can carry on with the switch to us.
And we can help cover your Early Termination Fees (up to £300) with our Contract Buy Out promise. Terms apply.
What if you can’t find my account?
Try checking details from your current provider, on your last bill or your online account, and put them through again. Or, you can chat to us, just log in to My Account or download the YouFibre app.
What happens once I’ve placed my order with you?
We’ll send you an order confirmation email to say that we’re handling the switch for you.
We’ll speak to your current broadband provider and line everything up so your connection with them will get switched off once your service is fully up and running with us. We’ll ask them to stop charging you on the switch date. Please note, that if you are porting a phone number to us, to ensure that we are able to bring your phone number over to YouFibre, we are unable to cancel your old broadband package until the phone porting is complete.
What happens if I can’t use One Touch Switch?
It should work in most cases, but there may be a reason it can’t be done. If this is the case and your current broadband provider can’t give the go-ahead to switch you over to us, we’ll let you know.
You can continue with your YouFibre order but you’ll need to get in touch with them directly to tell them you want to leave.
I’m a YouFibre customer, can I use One Touch Switch to move to another provider?
Yes, you’ll be able to do this when you sign up with the new provider.
You’ll need to give them your name and account details, and they’ll confirm once they’ve found your account.
We’ll then email you with all the info you need to end your contract with us, including any Early Termination Fees that might need to be paid.
