If you have one of our latest routers, a YouFibre Hub or Hub Pro it includes Wi-Fi 7, the seventh generation of Wi-Fi tech and the World’s fastest Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi 7 provides a faster connection with lower latency, and the ability to manage more connected devices more securely.
This means everyone using your connection should notice the difference with Wi-Fi 7. You can all demand more from your Wi-Fi at the same time because the technology means your home network is less congested.
Will my devices work with Wi-Fi 7?
The latest devices (2023 onwards) are built to work on Wi-Fi 7, but your tech doesn’t have to be Wi-Fi 7 enabled to benefit as you’ll still experience improved speeds.
If you have older phones, tablets, TVs, or smart gadgets, they’re still compatible with your Hub or Hub Pro, but they won’t recognise the Wi-Fi 7 signal.
Connect older devices to your Wi-Fi
When you plug in your Hub or Hub Pro, it will receive a software update to enable the ‘_legacy’ Wi-Fi network (SSID), which will support your older devices.
Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings menu and select the network that includes ‘_legacy’ in the name to connect to.

Enter the password (Wi-Fi Key) found on the back of your <Hub><Hub Pro>.

You can get more details on how to set up and manage your Hub or Hub Pro in our guides.
