Brsk Legacy - How do I use the Freely TV guide?

Using the Freely TV Guide

The Freely TV Guide is your hub for watching live and catch-up TV over the internet. It works like a traditional TV guide but with clever streaming features built in.

How do I open the Freely TV Guide?

You've got two ways to open it:

  1. Use your remote: Press the Guide button (usually marked with a grid icon)
  2. From the home screen: Navigate to the Freely TV Guide icon in the 2nd row and press OK
**How do I browse channels? **

Once you're in the guide, finding what's on is straightforward. Use the Up and down arrows scroll through the channel list. Left and right arrows move forwards and backwards in time, you can see what's on later tonight or even in the coming days

What else can I do in the Freely TV Guide?

The guide does more than just show you what's on—it lets you watch, restart, and catch up on programmes too.

  1. Watch a live programme: Select the programme you want and press OK. The channel will change instantly.
  2. Restart a programme: If you've just tuned in to a show that's already started, press OK to open it, then look for the 'Restart' option. This takes you back to the very beginning.
  3. Watch catch-up: Scroll backwards in the guide to see what you've missed. If a programme is available for catch-up, it'll be clearly marked. Select it, press 'OK', and select 'Watch On Demand'.
Can I set programme reminders?

Not directly through the Freely TV Guide at the moment. However, individual player apps (like BBC iPlayer or ITVX) might have their own reminder features for their content. Check the app's settings if you need reminders for specific shows.

Can I pause live TV on Freely?

You can pause live TV for up to 15 minutes on most Freely channels. Whether it works depends on how the content is delivered.

When you can pause

  • Watching live channels delivered over Wi-Fi (Freely): You can pause and restart for a short period. The stream is saved temporarily on your PLEIO, so you can step away and come back to it.
  • Watching on-demand content (catch-up players): You can fully pause, rewind, and fast-forward. Once a show has aired and you're watching it via a catch-up player like BBC iPlayer or Channel 4, you've got full playback control.

When you can't pause

  • Watching channels with limited streaming rights: A very small number of niche channels on Freely might not allow pausing due to content rights or technical limitations. If the pause button does nothing, it's because of restrictions from the channel provider.
