Control your BetterTV hands-free by connecting your Alexa device.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An Alexa-enabled device (Echo, Echo Dot, etc.)
• The Amazon Alexa app on your phone
• Both devices connected to the same WiFi network

Connect Alexa to BetterTV**

On your BetterTV box:

1. Go to Settings
2. Select Alexa Voice Control under Accessibility & Voice Control
3. Follow the on-screen instructions

On your Alexa app: The setup will guide you through enabling the BetterTV skill and linking your accounts.

Test the connection

Try saying: "Alexa, change channel to BBC One"

You'll see a blue ring in the top-left corner of your TV screen when Alexa is listening.

What Alexa voice commands can I use?

Just say "Alexa" followed by any of these commands:

Change channels

• "Go to BBC One"
• "Tune to Channel 103"

Search for shows

• "Search EastEnders"
• "Find programme called Frasier"
• "Search for Peppa Pig"

Watch live TV

• "Watch Homes Under the Hammer"

Play from apps

• "Play Grand Tour"

Launch apps

• "Launch Amazon Prime Video"
• "Go to Netflix"
• "Start BBC iPlayer"

Control playback

• "Pause"
• "Play"

Open the TV Guide

• "Go to Guide"

Volume control

• "Mute" or "Unmute"

• "Set volume to 40"

Navigate the menu

• "Move left"
• "Move right"
• "Move down"
• "Move up"
• "Select"
