Customise your PLEIO device name for easy identification

Your PLEIO starts with the default name N9600. Changing it makes it easier to find when you're casting from your phone or managing devices on your home network.

There are two ways to rename it, depending on whether you've just set up your PLEIO or you're changing the name later.

If you've just set up your PLEIO

If the suggestion prompt is still showing in Settings:

1. Press the gear icon on your remote to open 'Settings'
2. Look for 'Suggestions' near the top of the menu
3. Select the suggestion to change your device name
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the change

If you want to change it later

If you've already dismissed the suggestion or changed the name before:

1. Press the gear icon on your remote to open 'Settings'
2. Select 'Device Preferences'
3. Select 'About'
4. Then select 'Device Name'
5. Select 'Change' to enter a custom name or pick from the predefined options
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your new name

Once you're done, your PLEIO will appear with its new name on all your devices—like your phone when you're casting.
