Brsk Legacy - How do I fix picture and sound issues on my PLEIO?

What do I do if there's no picture or sound?

If you're experiencing problems with picture or sound on your PLEIO, here's how to fix them.

If your screen is black or there's no sound, try these quick checks:

**Check your connections **Make sure the HDMI cable is securely plugged into both your PLEIO and your TV. Also check that the power cable is properly connected.

Check mute and volume settings

  • Volume level: Make sure your TV isn't muted or set too low
  • Audio output: If you're using external devices like Bluetooth headphones, temporarily unpair them to see if that fixes it

Test other channels and apps

  • Try another channel: Switch from BBC One to Channel 4, for example. If the sound works on the other channel, the problem is likely with the original channel's stream.
  • Try an app: Open YouTube. If sound works there, the issue is isolated to the Freely service.

**Check your TV input **Your TV has multiple HDMI ports. Make sure you've selected the correct HDMI input (using your TV remote) that matches the port your PLEIO is plugged into.

Restart your PLEIO

A quick restart often solves the problem:

  1. Unplug the power cable from the back of your PLEIO
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Plug it back in, your PLEIO will restart automatically
How do I fix buffering or poor picture quality?

Buffering and poor picture quality are usually caused by a slow or inconsistent internet connection. Since PLEIO streams content over Wi-Fi, a stable connection is key.

**Restart your router **This is the most common fix. Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for all the lights to become stable before using your PLEIO.

**Check your Wi-Fi signal **Make sure your PLEIO is getting a strong WiFi signal. If your router is far away or there are lots of walls in between, the signal might be weak. Try moving your PLEIO closer to the router or use a Wi-Fi booster.

**Reduce network congestion **Your internet bandwidth is shared among all devices in your home. Close any other apps, games, or streaming services running on other devices to free up bandwidth for your TV.
