Fix remote control issues
If your remote stops responding, it's usually a simple battery or connection issue. These are few quick fixes;
Replace the batteries
- Pop in some fresh batteries. While you're at it, try taking the old batteries out and putting them back in - sometimes the battery contacts just need refreshing.
Try the mobile app remote
- Download the BetterTV mobile app, which has a built-in virtual remote. Learn how to use the mobile app remote.
- If the app remote works but your physical remote doesn't, you know the problem is definitely with the remote itself, not your BetterTV.
Restart your BetterTV
- Unplug the power cable from your BetterTV and plug it back in after 30 seconds. You can also just turn the power off at the wall socket and turn it back on.
- Give your BetterTV a minute or two to fully restart before testing the remote again.
