If you're having trouble accessing some Freely channels, these steps below would help to get them working again.

Step 1 - Check for errors and known issues

  • Error code on screen: If you see an error code (like ETV104), visit the Freely Error Code Checker on their website for an immediate diagnosis.
  • Known issues: Check the Freely website for updates or alerts about current problems affecting specific channels or regions.

Step 2 - Check your internet connection

  • Test your speed: Freely recommends a minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps for reliable live TV. Run a speed test on your phone or computer at fast.com to check.
  • Check you're connected: Freely channels stream over the internet, so make sure your PLEIO is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check this in System Settings or test other household devices.
  • Power cycle everything: Unplug your router and your PLEIO from the wall, wait five minutes, then plug them back in. This simple step often fixes most issues.

Step 3 - Update your software

  • Make sure your PLEIO's system software and the Freely app are fully up to date.
  • Go to **Settings > Help > Update **Services to check for updates.

Step 4 - Reinstall Freely

Although Freely channels update automatically, you can also do this manually:

  • Go to Settings > Freely Settings > Uninstall Services
  • Then select 'Install Services' just above
