Brsk Legacy - Can I record shows on Freely?

Do I need to record shows on Freely?

No, with Freely on your PLEIO, you don't need to manually record programmes anymore.

Freely works directly with the official player apps (like BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, and Channel 5), which means content is automatically available to stream shortly after it finishes airing.

How to watch programmes you've missed

Instead of recording, you've got three easy ways to catch up:

1. Scroll back in the TV Guide

Press the Guide button on your remote and use the left arrow to scroll backwards in time - up to seven days. Any show available for catch-up will be marked. Select it and it'll launch instantly in the right player app.

Example: You scroll back to last night, select a drama that finished at 9pm, and it starts playing from the beginning.

2. Use the Restart function

If you tuned in late to a live programme, just select it and choose 'Restart' to jump back to the beginning.

Example: You switch to the news at 6:15pm, press 'Restart', and it jumps back to 6:00pm.

3. Browse or search for shows

Go to the 'Freely Browse' section to find box sets and series, or use Universal Search to find a show by name (like 'Coronation Street'). Your PLEIO will take you straight to the latest episodes or the full box set.

Freely acts like a personal digital recorder—the shows you'd want to record are already available on-demand, without needing extra storage devices or USB sticks.
